Sale X-Ray — is this estate sale worth going to?

Every week there are more estate sales, garage sales and online auctions than anyone can visit. Sale X-Ray looks at all the photos of a sale for you: add screenshots of its gallery, and FlipTip finds every item worth money, prices the best ones from real sold listings, tells you the most to pay — at an auction the max bid — and gives the sale a score, so Saturday morning starts at the right address.

How it works

Collect the photosOpen the sale online — EstateSales.NET, ShopGoodwill, HiBid, a Facebook or Craigslist post — and take screenshots while you scroll. Many small photos on one screenshot are fine; zoomed-in photos let FlipTip read labels and maker's marks.
Add them to Sale X-RayUp to 200 photos per sale. Tell FlipTip what kind of sale it is; for an auction, the buyer's premium, tax and shipping.
FlipTip looks at every photoEvery item worth money is spotted and named as exactly as the photo proves, with a used price range and its place in the photo. Price tags in the photos are read too.
The best finds get real pricesThe strongest finds are checked against real completed sales (in eBay countries) and you get the list to go straight for: value, the most to pay, the max bid, and a score for the whole sale.

What you get

Estate sales and auctions post their photos days before they open, and that is where most of a reseller's week goes: scrolling galleries of hundreds of photos to decide which sale deserves the early morning. Sale X-Ray does that scroll for you and answers the two questions that matter — is this sale worth going to, and what do I go straight for.

It is honest about what a photo can and cannot tell: names are only as exact as the photo proves, every find shows how sure the identification is, and condition, completeness and authenticity still need checking at the sale — the 📷 button on every find opens the scanner for exactly that.

Sale X-Ray is part of the Dealer plan — for resellers who source at estate sales and auctions every week. Every new account tries it free: the first 5 days of the free trial are on the Dealer plan.

Questions

Is this estate sale worth going to?
Add screenshots of its photo gallery to Sale X-Ray. FlipTip finds every item worth money, prices the best ones, and gives the sale a score from 0 to 100 — with the list of what to go straight for and the most to pay for each.
Which sites does it work with?
Any: Sale X-Ray reads the photos you add, so screenshots from EstateSales.NET, ShopGoodwill, HiBid, LiveAuctioneers, MaxSold, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist or an auction house's own site all work. Nothing is taken from those sites by FlipTip itself.
How do I work out my max bid with a buyer's premium?
Start from what the item really sells for, keep room for fees, shipping and your margin (FlipTip uses the expected sale ÷ 1.6), then take off the shipping and divide by the buyer's premium and tax: with a 15% premium and $10 shipping, an item that sells for $160 leaves a max bid of about $78. Sale X-Ray does this for every find; the free auction max bid calculator does it for one item.
Is the score a profit promise?
No. It measures how much resale value the photos show and how sure FlipTip is about it. What you make depends on the prices at the sale and the condition of the items — check them there, the scanner is one tap away.
Which plan has Sale X-Ray?
The Dealer plan: up to 20 sales a week, 200 photos each. Every new account tries it free — the free trial starts with 5 days of Dealer.
How many photos can I add?
Up to 200 per X-Ray. One screenshot can show many photos of the gallery at once.
What happens to the photos?
They are used to find the items. Only the photos that show a find are kept with your X-Ray so you can see them on the sale day, and an X-Ray is deleted after 60 days (or whenever you delete it). Nobody else can see them.
