Is the FlipTip extension free?
Yes. The extension itself is free. Each listing you check uses one scan of your FlipTip plan — the free plan includes 3 a day, and paid plans add real sold prices, more scans and the rest of the reseller tools.
Does it work on Facebook Marketplace?
Yes. Open a Marketplace listing and the ⚡ FlipTip · deal? button appears in the corner. It also works on Craigslist, OfferUp, Mercari, eBay, Kleinanzeigen, Vinted, Leboncoin, Subito, Wallapop, Marktplaats, OLX, willhaben, Gumtree, Kijiji, KupujemProdajem, Njuškalo and Bolha.
What if my marketplace is not on the list?
Use the FlipTip button in the browser toolbar → "Check the listing on this page", press Alt+Shift+F, or right-click the item's photo → "Check with FlipTip". The extension then reads that page once, because you asked it to.
Which browsers does it run in?
Google Chrome and every browser built on it: Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi and Arc. Firefox and Safari are not supported yet.
Does it read my messages or my marketplace account?
No. It reads only the listing on the page you are looking at — title, asking price, description and photo — and sends nothing until you press "Check with FlipTip". It has no access to your messages, your marketplace account, your browsing history or your FlipTip password.
Does it work outside the US?
Yes. The asking price is converted to your currency at today's rate, and FlipTip prices the item for your country — real sold prices where they exist, the local used market elsewhere.
How is it different from scanning with the app?
It is the same FlipTip scan — identification, resale value, the most to pay and buy or skip — started from a listing instead of the camera. The seller's asking price is filled in for you, so the verdict is about that exact deal.
